1969 CHEVROLET CORVETTE STINGRAY! BLOOMINGTON GOLD CAR! ALL MATCHING BIG BLOCK 427/390HP WITH ITS ORIGINAL MUNCIE M21 FOUR SPEED TRANSMISSION! METICULOUS RESTORATION COMPLETED AFTER THREE YEARS! ALL OF WHICH HAS BEEN THOROUGHLY DOCUMENTED! As you are reading over this auction, this Corvette is sitting, tucked away in a climate controlled garage. It is pampered beyond belief. In 2010, its restoration was completed. The entire journey was fully documented with photos & enough receipts to send any accountant in to a coma. It is completely matching meaning the motor, transmission, factory options, color combination, interior, everything matches and is of excellent quality. Since being completed, the Vet has had less than a thousand miles put on it. Body & Paint: The body and paint are extremely nice. The lines, gaps, bonding strips, and overall appearance pretty much tell the entire story of the Corvette. From what I have gathered, it appears to have never been in any accidents. The paint is the correct shade of 974 Monza red and is very smooth and shiny with no orange peel or debris. Much of the exterior trim is original and is in excellent condition. The front bumper is original and is excellent, the rear bumpers are new. The Vet also has 1969 only side louver trim. It has all new weather stripping through out the entire car. All of the glass is excellent. Very careful storage and extremely limited driving have kept the exterior in immaculate condition. Car has not seen rain since restored. Interior: Excellent, much of which is original. Correct code 407 red vinyl. The dash and console are original pieces that were professionally refurbished. The original seat belts were professionally refurbished. The seats are original and are in excellent condition. The dash and gauges were reconditioned or replaced as needed to give that new appearance. The radio is a corvette specific aftermarket item that fits with out dash modifications but is currently not working. Original owners manual included. Correct antenna installed but mast is currently removed for car cover fitment. The Vet has the rare option of a rear window defogger that works. All gauges function correctly except for the clock. Fiber optics work. New heater controls and heater/defroster work correctly. Wipers and wiper door restored and function correctly. Headlight system restored and light function correctly. All items that attach to the body received new hardware for safety and longevity. Mechanical: Correct and all new. The 427 has correct block code and date stamp- T 01 15 MH for 390 hp with 4-speed application. The VIN is also clearly stamped in the correct location. The M-21 transmission also has the VIN clearly stamped in the correct location. Correct 1969 aluminum intake manifold with Quadrajet carb. New correct AC fuel filter included for installation. New fuel tank and lines. Correct tach drive distributor and delco wires. The ignition shielding is all new but the cover is currently uninstalled for easier timing adjustment. It is included with the car or can be installed if agreed. Correct gm stamped hoses with correct clamps. Original Harrison expansion tank refurbished. Correct exhaust manifolds with new correct exhausts including mufflers and tips. Engine rebuild included hardened valve seats for modern fuel. Correct oil filter is included but uninstalled- they are $40! Transmission rebuilt and correct shifter refurbished. Suspension rebuilt including steering gear box with NOS shaft flange. All items cleaned and painted correct colors. Brake system rebuilt and replaced and dot 5 fluid utilized. Spare tire cover is in excellent condition. Correct wheels refinished and equipped with excellent original rings and caps. New BFG radial tires. New battery and cables. Rear suspension refurbished. Car starts and runs strong, drives tight and stops confidently. The only reason this Corvette is up for sale is due to a lack of space (too many cars). This is a very nice restoration of what was a nice car to start with. With a stunning color combination and its strong numbers matching big block, this investment grade Vet will only continue to rise in value. With very few exceptions-notably tires, battery, radio, only original components and finishes were utilized during the restoration of this gorgeous Corvette. The car looks excellent and functions beautifully. This Corvette has had a tremendous amount of money & time spent on it. I don't anticipate it being here long. I will be evaluating all reasonable offers and I will in fact sell the Corvette early as we do have it for sale "locally".
